The Spartans beat Friendswood Tuesday night in the first round of the State Play-offs 59-50! They played great team basketball and tough defense to advance!
Our next game is Friday at 7:00 pm at Butler Stadium in HISD vs. Smiley.
The Spartans basketball program has set a new standard for success! For the second year in a row, all Sub-Varsity teams have ended the regular season as District Champions, the program achieved the first 100 wins season, and the Varsity advanced to the State Playoffs!!! Go Spartans!

The Third Annual Spartan Club Golf Tournament is April 13th at Weston Lakes Country Club. Attached is an entry form or you can visit the website at www.spartanclubgolf.org for more information and download the entry form. Deadline for entry is April 1.
This year we are including in the entry fee the first ever Spartan Golf Challenge prior to the tournament for those of you that want to test your golf skills. Awards will be given out at the dinner/auction following the tournament.
If you are not a golfer you are invited to attend the Dinner/Auction which will begin around 5:30 at Weston Lakes.

For the first time ever, Seven Lakes will have representation at the State Wrestling meet for UIL Region III 5A. Moses Park and Jordan Hauser will be in Austin for the meet on Feb. 22nd and 23rd. See attached article by Coach Demarchi about the Regional Finals.

Congratulations to Taylor Ward and Matt Villanti for being selected to the Max Emfinger's High School All-American Bowl this past January 5, 2008 in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Seven Lakes Varsity Boys Golf Team finish just 3 strokes behind Clear Creek Saturday at Greatwood Golf Club. The team shot 304, 310. Behind the scoring of Trey Sullivan who shot 72, 74, Brian Swanson who shot 74, 79, and Zach Smalls who shot 81, 77, Albert Miner who shot 77, 86, Hank Miner 87,79, Ryan Hadash who shot 83, 82 the team came down to the last hole before taking this second place finish. Trey took 3rd place overall in scoring.

Spartan Boys win District 19-4A Swimming and Diving Championship
This past weekend the Seven Lakes Spartans won the District 19-4A Championships at the LCISD Natatorium by winning 7 of 12 events and outscoring 2nd Place Lamar Consolidated 216 points to 132 points. The Spartan was led by Top Ten Swimming performers District MVP Ezrah Nyanat, New District Record Holder Ben Thompson, Justin Mosholder, Connor Nugent, and Kenny Kwan.
